We were at the house for only four days but we got the shower cubicle built and tiled with all the plumbing for the shower in place.
So, this means we have a shower - complete with hot water! We also laid a new concrete floor on the first floor landing to level it.
Electrics were extended to the second floor rooms, with lights installed in the first of the bedrooms. The partition wall, which was made of huge slabs of slate, was removed. This created a huge room at the top of the house, which will become a sitting room once the floor has been installed.
We instructed the builder to rebuild the back roof and render the wall. We instructed him to complete some additional work, including zinc guttering on the front roof (to prevent weather damage to the new rendering). We also asked him to put in the plans a new window opening for the back of the house in the sitting room.
