April 2005

Some plastering was completed in the ground floor rear area, which will become the internal garden space. A new staircase was constructed also in this area up to the mezzanine dining space.

The second floor bedroom/reception room had a skim of plaster on most walls to restore it after the 25 years of water ingress. The floor was finally levelled and the tile floor was started. Most of this was completed on this visit.

The landing to the second floor was also opened up by knocking down a wall between the stairs and the landing to increase the light levels. When this wall was removed, with it was removed some of the plaster on the ceiling (which was already loose). This and the scar of the removed wall were repaired.
