With the purchase of the new property in Normandy progressing slowly, we took another trip across to view the house and to check the local area.
This is a large house. The taller section is currently the main part of the house, containing a kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms upstairs. Next to this on the ground floor is the lounge. All of these rooms are in relatively good condition.
Separated from the main house and next to it is a derilect section with a ground floor and first floor, which also wraps over the lounge. This section is currently uninhabitable and waterlogged.
Next to the derilect part is another separate section, which once would have been a 'barn'. Now, the previous owners (English) had started to convert this into what they considered to be a gite, or a B&B room. While it is not suitable for this purpose, it would make a great office or other similar space.
Behind this space is a large workshop separate from the rest of the house. Around the whole property is a parcel of land made into a garden.
