June 2007 - normandy
We went over to Normandy for a short trip to inspect the new roof and to pay the roofer. We were very happy with the result, a vast improvement over the old roof. This had been replaced last in the 1960s after it had been damaged in the Second World War.
While we were there, we also laid some of the new white tiles in the bathroom. This helped to brighten this small room, particularly as we had removed the old laminate wood-effect flooring some time before. The tiles, in large format (300 x 300mm) help to make this room feel larger than it actually is and will ensure that the floor is quick to lay. We will continue with this on our next visit.
